The Great improvement of processing ability and accuracy of MLA

Even a tiny error about microlens core parameters can cause totally different effect of micro optics. Microlens array (MLA), which subunit (the microlens) is periodic arrangement, has high demand about the microlens processing accuracy.


Highlight Optics are experienced in microlens array processing for many years. For the better satisfaction to our customers, we have updated our equipment in recently. Not only the microlens processing accuracy of the microlens core parameters have great improvement, but the double-side MLA is also available now!!

The roc error improve from ±3% to ±1%!!!It means the better EFL consistency, better effect of the lens.


The best pitch error is only 1/2 of the previous one! The updated MLA processing technology provides more precise sub-unit size, and higher quality micro-nano structure.


Roughness has a great influence on the imaging effect of the microlens. We do believe the <5nm roughness can bring our microlens array an amazing improvement in effect.


The gap between sub-units is a problem that has always existed in microlens arrays. Now we can produce the microlens array without a gap with the improvement of our technology and equipment. Smaller gap leads to higher duty cycle, when the size of sub-units is 20um, the duty cycle is nearly 98%. As the size of the sub-unit increases, the duty cycle, that is, the overall utilization of the lens, will be higher!!

Final, the most important improvement of our microlens processing ability is the double-side microlens array is available now! Maybe is the time to redraw the picture above.
