There are many types of diffraction gratings, including amplitude gratings and phase gratings, as well as reflection gratings and transmission gratings, planar gratings and concave gratings, etc. The optical grating described in this article is a reflection/transmission type, saw-tooth/step type phase grating, which has the characteristics of high accuracy, wide application, and customization.

Phase grating is an optical element that uses interference of light to separate light. When light waves pass through the grating, the amplitude does not change, but the phase undergoes periodic changes, thereby changing the diffraction of the grating. Among them, transmission grating is a classification of phase grating, usually used for laser beam separation and visible light multi wavelength laser spectrum separation, and the transmission beam will be diffracted into multiple different orders. Diffraction phase grating is mainly used for light splitting, which achieves modulation and separation through the phase difference of transmitted or reflected light. The line width accuracy and depth accuracy are ±0.2um and 20nm, respectively. It is made by photolithography technology and is mainly used in diffraction splitting and pulse compression applications.

Highlight Optics's high-precision grating is a very good choice. There are serrated and stepped gratings for users to choose from, and suitable precision gratings can also be customized according to their application needs.
