Hollow retro-reflector is a key device on the delay line, which functions to make the laser beam return parallel without being affected by whether the incident angle is precisely perpendicular.
The structure of a hollow retro-reflector is composed of three flat mirrors (gold-plated or aluminum), which adopt a hollow structure. It can make the incident light reflect back with high precision along the direction of incidence. Therefore, it is also known as hollow retro-reflector lens, and high-precision hollow retro-reflector. The advantage of a hollow retro-reflector is that the entire retro-reflector path is in air, which does not cause color difference or material absorption.
The broadband hollow retro-reflector is sturdy and durable, using a monolithic structure made of solid aluminum, insensitive to vibration, position, and movement, and is very suitable for Michelson interferometers, Fourier transform infrared spectrometers, and laser tracking systems.
We provide broadband hollow mirrors covering the 700-2000nm wavelength range, with a surface quality of 80/50 and an aperture size of 6.4-127mm. Through actual testing, Highlight Optics's retro-reflector can achieve a parallelism of 1 arc second.
Our broadband hollow retro-reflector has high stability, with its core structure consisting of three front surface reflective flat mirrors assembled into corners. We specifically use stress free installation technology, which allows the reflected beam to be precisely parallel to the incident beam regardless of the incident angle, hence also known as 180 degree reflection without alignment.
