红外中性密度滤光片(IR Neutral Density
Filters)又被称为红外衰减片,顾名思义,是一种专为红外光谱区间设计的光学滤光片。Andover红外中性密度滤光片从基板上的金属合金涂层中获得光密度,该涂层由波长区域决定。与全电介质或吸收型不同,金属型Andover红外衰减片采用吸收和反射的组合来降低光的强度,而不会改变光的色彩平衡或波长组成。这意味着无论红外光的波长如何,Andover红外中性密度滤光片都会以相同的比率减少其能量。因此,Andover红外ND滤光片具有出色的光谱中性特性。
Andover中性密度滤波片提供三种标准尺寸的滤波片:12.5mm、25mm和50mm直径,具有统一的中心厚度1mm。红外ND滤波片的基材是锗,有效孔径为光学直径(Outer Diameter, OD)的90%。Andover中性密度滤波片的平整度<5 waves per 25mm,这是一个比较严格的平整度要求,表明该红外中性密度滤光片在其表面上的任意25mm长度内,最高点与最低点之间的高度差不超过5个光波长度。Andover红外ND滤光片的平行度为10
arc minutes or better,即小于10弧分,偏离角度不会超过0.1667度,并且实际性能很可能会更加接近完美平行。此外Andover还可以根据客户的需求定制不同尺寸、不同光学特性的IR ND滤光片。
